Santorum

Say what you will about Rich Santorum and him not being electable and all that. But they man has run one heck of a campaign. He just won Alabama and this with the conservative vote being split by Gingrich at that. I really think he could sweep the rest of the states except California if Newt would back out. However, Newt feels that he is muddying the water for Romney. I think and he thinks that the possibility of a brokered convention is growing by the day. Many experts believe that would be a disaster for Republicans. I am not so sure.

One Response to Santorum

  1. I have to agree with you about a brokered convention not being such a bad idea. From what I have been hearing, even on the msm news, is that Republicans aren’t all that thrilled about any of the candidates who are currently running for our party’s presidential nomination. I wish we could combine the good stuff about Ron Paul, Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich into a really viable candidate. I, myself, have said this from the get-go—“none of the above” AND I am really tired of having to “settle” for whomever the liberal media types want to make us think is the one who has it all wrapped up! Mitt Romney?? Seriously?? IMHO, Newt is the only one who has a ghost of a chance to stand up to Obama in a debate. The Obama team is just licking their chops in hopes that we do nominate someone like Rick Santorum or Mitt Romney. He would reduce those guys to shreds in a heartbeat as per the last televised GOP debate in which Romney, Gingrich and Paul all had Santorum stuttering and apologizing and falling all over himself justifying his voting history/voting record–and that was just one issue. I can’t even begin to imagine what that is going to look like. I shudder to think about it.
